Satcom Payload Systems Engineer

Our Client, a successful player in the satellite system consultancy field, is looking for a Satcom Payload Systems Engineer to join their team in Toulouse. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will work closely with internal technical teams and with the customer during all phases of the telecommunications satellite and associated ground segment procurement. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Responsibilities will include Performing technical system analysis to support payload architectures Leading andor assisting in the analysis and development of payload specifications and SoWs during the Request for Proposal preparation, bid evaluation and contract negotiations Providing advice relating to technical and schedule risks on programs and suggesting ways of mitigating the risks Providing expert technical support to customer programs, interfacing directly with customer staff or external consultants Analysing design review packages and participating in design review meetings Skills Experience Engineering diploma or equivalent A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in payload engineering for telecommunication satellites Experience with the design andor procurement, analysis, qualification, testing and implementation of telecommunication satellites payloads equipments and subsystems Experience in interacting with satellite operators and satellite manufacturers Confident working directly with customers and subcontractors at technical level Excellent problemsolving abilities and mediation skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, presentation and customer interaction skills Ability to manage a team Ability to share skills and knowledge with others Proficiency with office computer equipment and software Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced office setting Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of French is an advantage Willingness and ability to travel as required Ability to work in France.
