The support tasks including the following Contribute to the establishing of the programmatic and technical software PA requirements within the framework of the ESA Software policy Evaluate Contractors plans, technical specifications and efforts proposed for the execution of SW PA programme Monitor and evaluate SW PA analyses, reports and technical notes Participate to project reviews, meetings, Configuration Control Boards, Nonconformance review Boards and Software Review Boards Prepare design tradeoffs, analyses and reports using metrics to support project decisions Participate in software product evaluations and process assessments Establish and maintain databases to track NCRs, RFWs, action items etc. as required. PAQA engineer shall cover the specific tasks Establish the Pa requirements and PA plan relevant to the project in compliance with the ESA SW Engineering and Product Assurance standards Guide and monitor the implementation of PA requirements by the project in order to ensure their proper implementation Monitor and control the performanceeffectiveness of the processes used during the development of the software Maintain PAQA processes and procedures relevant to the project including PA documentation Participate in inspections and reviews scrums, design, code, documentation, of the project and directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions Define and ensure the correct application of problem reporting procedures Define, implement and perform a metrication program to manage the development and to assess the quality of the development processes and the products Implement and perform process assessment and improvement Perform project audits and assessments specifically for quality and configuration practices Provide support to SCIOQ in PAQA aspects, such as Participate in project reviews when requested Provide feedback on the projects by monthly report Develop and maintain PA procedures and practices applicable to SCI O Provide feedback and support to SCIOQ in configuration management aspects Spot check configuration management practices on all missions, ensuring the correct application of the configuration management procedures Provide support to the development and maintenance of configuration control procedures and practices applicable to SCIO Feedback on risk management project status, performed by crossreference to the SCIO risk policy Maintain methods and tools relevant to PAQA activities e.g. Sonar tool, verifying and reporting their correct use by the project Support test preparation data, HW, procedures, etc., witness testing and problem reports registers Support TRR and TRBs and the setup and maintenance of the test environment when needed Support configuration manager in preparing testing and deploying software releases Support the configuration manager with the development, implementation and maintenance of configuration control procedures Ensure document management process e.g. releases is in conformance with the Document management plan Support the Risk management process per mission, including participation in regular risk assessment meetings Support the selection and implementation of the development environment and verify availability to developers and users on time Output and Service Performance Monitoring The service provider shall be measured and assessed on the basis of Up to date Product Assurance Plans Provision of requested PA reports Provision and maintenance of PA documents Provision of SW development standards design, code Assessment of SW development process and procedures ESA will formally define the service delivery in terms of delivery times, performance targets and similar measurable parameters Key Performance Indicators. This shall be agreed with the service provider and shall be assessed, and modified as needed, during regular progress meetings. The service provider shall manage the service provision and provide ESA with the necessary data and corresponding evidence The performance of the service provider shall be measured and assessed on the basis Documents generated at the dates required by the project milestones and internal plans Documents reviewed prior to project reviews Reporting inlinein time with the schedule Other deliverables in line with the requirements and agreed schedule This service will have direct interaction with SCI OQ.

Task 8 Assist the Head of EGNOS Systems Engineering Section with the planning and execution of RD activities as well as in managing the necessary software tools and databases related to IONO modelling and processing. Task 9 Supporting several projects, the service provider will be involved in project reviews for EGNOS e.g. V2V3 system and subssytem reviews at algorithm level Requirements Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, physics or Computer science with proven knowledge and experience in the fields of Algorithms, Navigation and related data. Knowledge and experience in EGNOS standards e.g. MOPSSARPS Knowledge and experience in EGNOS integrity continuity justification files Knowledge and experience in EGNOS system algorithmic performance related design justification in particular concerning propagation effects algorithmic solutions in SBAS Knowledge and experience in GNNS signals and RD projects Experiences in, procurement of industrial activities. Knowledge and experience in using and assessing EGNOS performance simulations and tools.

The Key Person will support the Ground Stations and External Interfaces GSEI team within the RSO division and shall support the daily operations of the Ground Stations and their interfaces to the other components of the ground segments to ensure their maximum availability and reliability. This role will focus on the ground stations supporting EUMETSATs low Earth orbiting LEO satellites EPS, EPSSG and JCS but the engineer will also be expected to support the geostationary orbit GEO stations when required. In addition, the Key Person will be expected to acquire and maintain Systemwide knowledge of the Ground Segments, particularly in the areas of spacecraft monitoring control and the flow of mission data, due to the central role the ground station plays in spacecraft and ground segment operations. The tasks will include Longterm planning and shortterm scheduling of the operational usage of the ground stations to support both the needs of the Flight Operations Division FLO and Ground Stations engineering team Interface with project teams for the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects and major activities described in the Operational System MidTerm Evolution Plan. This will include ground station changes required to support major space segment evolutions Interfacing with the ground stations maintenance teams and industry representatives to ensure optimised performance by the ground stations, including participating in the definition, specification and implementation of any changes Planning and coordination of upgrades, repairs and evolutions with the engineering teams and FLO division Organising the validation of these upgrades, repairs and evolutions with the Controller Teams Definition and maintenance of ground station operations procedures and operations guides Maintaining operational ground stations databases Investigation into anomalies, their documentation, classification and correctionmitigation, participation in associated Anomaly Review Boards Provision of training, through production and presentation of written materials, practical demonstrations and presentations, to other members of the Operations Department PROFILE In addition to having a university degree in a relevant technical discipline or the equivalent ground stations experience, the Key Person shall have the following mandatory attributes at least five years experience in ground stations TTC operations in support of multiple Low Earth Orbit LEO andor Geostationary GEO spacecraft at least five years experience in a realtime 247 spacecraft operations environment, ideally in an earth observation environment excellent interpersonal and coordination skills Experience of the following would be a distinct advantage major upgrades or evolutions of operational ground stations defining and implementing the verification and validation of ground stations interfaces between ground stations and ground segments firstline hardware and software failure diagnosis and correction baseband operation and configuration The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. One of our clients in Germany is looking for a Dissemination Operations Engineering Consultancy Support. The Key person shall support the Dissemination Team of the Realtime Services System Operations Division of the Operations Department supporting routine operations such as dissemination and encryption services, the introduction of new products, and the operations preparation phases of new dissemination services, such as for MTG and EPSSG. Tasks The duties range from the support to the operation of the various dissemination components, to the analysis, implementation and testing of new data streams and monitoring and reporting functions. It also includes the settingup and implementation of operational procedures, and the coordination with external organisations and service providers. In particular the tasks of the Key person will include Support to routine operations of the dissemination and encryption functions within the Ground Segments, including performance monitoring and in the case of anomalies, the identification and application of firstline corrective actions. Support to the operations of data encryption functions in the ground and space segment of the companies programs. Control, population and operation of dissemination related databases and configuration files for both inhouse and remote systems. Support to the preparation, validation and maintenance of ground segment operational procedures. Support to dissemination services related training of the Control Centre Team. Support in the analysis and resolution of user enquiries related to dissemination services Support to the HW and SW configuration of the companies Reception Stations. Definition and implementation of dissemination service monitoring and reporting tools, and generation of related reports. Support to the generation and maintenance of a products database for dissemination administration. Participation in meetings and reviews. Qualifications A university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Experience Minimum 5 years experience in operations or software maintenance of realtime data dissemination systems, and be familiar with DVBS satellite communications and ground segment operations. Significant work experience on operating system level in major Linux distributions and Windows Windows 7, 8, 10. Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for the Key person to have experience with the following DVB based receiveonly earth stations for satellite communications. IP multicast data distribution systems, such as Tellicast provided by Newtec. Dissemination of meteorological andor environmental products. Formalised software testing. XML language and tools. Subversion, CVS, eclipse. Interaction with operational or research organisations. DVBS2 technology. Knowledge and Skills For the accomplishment of the listed tasks, knowledge and experience of the following is mandatory Basic System administrator skills Configuration, installation and scripting for Linux and Windows. Computer literacy, including Evaluationanalysis of systemapplication events and logs. Tool based presentation of logs and results Excel etc. Monitoring of near real time data flows in large computer networks. Satellite based and terrestrial data distribution systems. Provision of near realtime data services in a highavailability environment 247. First and second level support in data services. Interaction with endusers. Coordination of system changes and interfaces with external organisations. Encryption technologies, USB smart cards, TripleDES. Formalised hardwaresoftwaresystem testing. Configuration control.
