RHEA is currently recruiting a MTG Satellite Simulator and Mission Operations Facility MOF Tools Engineer to support the MTG ground segment team at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support to the maintenance of MTG Mission Operations Facility requirement specification in the area of MTG Mission Operations Facility tools and liaison with the operational users for the definition of the requirements baseline. Follow up the MTG Mission Operations Facility tools procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose. Follow up the MTG Mission Operations Facility satellite simulator procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose. Support the MTG ground segment team, the Mission Operations Facility manager, the ground segment manager and the SATSIM procurement manager. Interact with suppliers and partner organisations. Participation to the Reviews for the satellite simulator as well as the Mission Operations Facility tools and interfacing facilities. Participation test conduction and or witnessing to MTG satellite simulator as well as the Mission Operations Facility tools testing and related activities on facility as well as on system level. Analysis of test results and test reports on satellite simulator, Mission Operations Facility as well as on system level in particular with respect to their suitability for requirement verification and validation. Generation of test plans procedures for in house testing. Track the Mission Operations Facility tools test results, test reports and requirement verification status. Cloning and installation of the MTG satellite simulator as well as the Mission Operations Facility tools at EUMETSAT, while fulfilling the configuration management requirements. Verification of correct satellite simulator as well as Mission Operations Facility installation. Monitor and, where applicable, steer the lifecycle for all related anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs. Develop, including design, documentation, coding and testing of dedicated Mission Operations Facility tools not externally procured based on input requirement documentation. This task includes the involvement interaction with the final users, participation to relevant reviews and answering of RIDs generated. Operation of the MTG satellite simulator during Mission Operations Facility test campaigns. Provision of support to other users of the MTG satellite simulator Mission Operations Facility tools. Preparation and production of routine reports as necessary. Preparation of technical notes and attendance at technical meetings. Analysis, review and generation of any relevant MTG documentation. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Demonstrated experience of 5 years in the following Mission Operations System specifications development and or procurement within a space system. Spacecraft simulator development, installation, testing and handson operation. In depth knowledge of SIMSAT. Software development in JAVA. Eclipse RCP RAP. GIT SVN Version Control software. AIV related activities test procedure generation, requirements verification and validation, test report generation. Anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs handling, investigation and discussion with clients as well as the supplier. SW development under UNIX Linux operating system. The following skills would be highly desirable ECSS Space Engineering Standards, in particular those related to Mission Control and SW engineering. You will be supporting the Meteosat Third Generation MTG programme by performing the MTG preparatory activities within the ground segment team. The major task of the programme is to define the MTG ground segment including its specification, top level design and to select a procurement approach. The new development will be integrated into the existing multimission ground network infrastructure.
