Saab Forecasts Sales Growth as Europe's Defense Spending Revives

Saab AB, the Swedish maker of the Gripen fighter jet, forecast sales growth in the medium term as rising geopolitical tensions spur a revival in military spending among its main customers in Europe. Revenue this year will probably increase more than 5 percent, while the operating margin will probably match the 7.1 percent of sales posted in 2014, the Stockholm-based company said in a statement.

IT services provider Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp's fourth-quarter revenue rose a higher-than-expected 16.4 percent, helped by increased spending by healthcare and financial services customers in North America. The company also forecast full-year 2015 revenue growth of at least 19 percent, higher than the 16.1 percent achieved in 2014, which was the weakest in the company's 20-year history.
