Tasks and Responsibilities The candidate will be required to support the Directorate Network Management DNM Simulator Real Time Simulation SIM RTS Project. Inside our Clients Directorate Network Management DNM, the Airspace Simulation section is in charge of the preparation and execution of airspace simulations in support of the validation of new airspace organisations, procedures, processes and operational concepts. The major customers for such validation services are the European Air Navigation Service Providers ANSPs and the upcoming Functional Airspace Block projects, such as FAB Europe Central, Danube FAB and FAB Central Europe. The realtime simulations, as a means to collect data supporting the overall validation process, are conducted according to the principles and guide lines of the European Operational Concept Validation Methodology EOCVM. The domains that the Network Operations Management Airspace Simulation Engineer will cover are multiple in particular tasks are expected to include the following activities To improve the Real Time Simulation capabilities by improving the preparation and analysis phases reduce time improve quality flexibility To manage the realtime simulation platform, in coordination with our Clients Simulation Technical Coordinator STC. Duties MetOpSG is an operational meteorological programme established in cooperation with Eumetsat, with ESA being responsible for the definition and development of the space segment and, on behalf of Eumetsat, for the procurement of the recurrent satellites.
