SGS Development tasks Support SOC development o Provision of feedback on system performance and characteristics to system engineer and the sw developer throughout the production period as part of the iterative development process o Definition and development of test cases, pass and fail criteria Ensure readiness for Nominal Science Phase Operations o Configuring Nominal SOC systems to any payload activities preceding Nominal Science Operations e.g. Mars Capture Orbit MCO activities o Validating the initial set of nominal science phase operations data o Rehearse the LTP, MTP and STP operations process with the PI teams Operations Rehearsals ORs. Science Operations Engineering tasks Operations Preparation Activities in support to Long Term Planning o Scheduling of the PI teamdefined contributing observations o Validation with MAPPS to generate an operationally feasible candidate plan o Refining the LTP in response to modified LTP inputs o Freezing the LTP baseline and committing to configuration control. Medium Term Planning Activities o Kickoff MTP science planning by providing the PI teams with the baseline observation types o Scheduling defined contributing observations within the MTP period o Use of MAPPS to generate an operationally feasible candidate plan including pointing and resource allocations o Refining the science plan directly with the PI teams at the observation level o Gaining approval of the final MTP plan and freeze the MTP baseline o Generating the pointing and payload request files, then deliver to the MOC. Short Term Planning Activities o Generating a full set of instrument timelines ITLs for all four 1week commanding periods that correspond to the agreed MTP o Working with the PI teams to update their commanding for each CP in turn o Using MAPPS to check that any commanding updates respect the operations constraints and remain within the envelope established in the MTP o Generating the payload operations requests and submitting them to the MOC 1 week before execution for each CP. Skills and Experience University education PhD or MSc in a scientific or technical subject and relevant professional experience. Experience in uplink science operations for solar system missions. Experience in payload modeling, simulation and commanding. Experience with simulation software for spacecraft operations and observation geometry. For the location in Darmstadt Germany we are looking for a SAP System Administration Authorisation Management Support at EUMETSAT. Tasks The Key person will formally be part of SAP Delivery Services within the Information and Communication Technologies ICT Unit and the Technical Support and Service Department TSS. The ICT Unit is generally in charge of providing corporate ICT services and infrastructure to internal users. The Key person will report to the ERP Delivery Manager, who is responsible for the SAP Delivery Services to end users. However, due to the nature of matrix organisation, heshe will also report to SAP Supply Manager, responsible for the supply delivery of SAP systems and processes when performing tasks aligned with SAP Supply Management. The Key person will work within a small group of support team members, covering FI, PS, CO, PSM, HR, MMSD and SAP administration and also work in close coordination with the IT Service Desk, SAP Key User Group and a team of expert SAP consultants who provide SAP Application Maintenance Services for problem solving and enhancements. SAP ERP modules in use at EUMETSAT are FI GL, AP, AR, TV, AA, COPS, HR, MM, SD, SRM, Public Sector Management Funds Management, Business Workflow and SAP Netweaver Portal including Universal Worklist. EUMETSAT has also implemented SAP BI, i.e. SAP Business Warehouse and SAP Business Objects to fulfil its reporting requirements. The current number of EUMETSAT SAP users is estimated to be around 400. SAP users are grouped into three categories Employee Self Service Users ESS. These users use ESS for both business and personal purposes, e.g. time and absence management, procurement inquiry, etc. Workflow Users, who will mainly view SAP data and participate in workflow, i.e. electronic approval loop of certain transactions, e.g. travel management, procurement requests, invoice acceptance, absence requests, etc. Professional Transactional Users, who enter and maintain data and transactions either via Portal or directly in SAP ERP. SAP Key User Group is a group of the Professional Transactional Users who own the processes, define the needs and accept the changes, working closely with the SAP Support Team. A group of users are Reporting Users, who enter and execute reports through SAP Business Intelligence Systems via the SAP Portal. SAP System Administration and Authorisation Management Support shall be provided by a consultant experienced in providing such support for SAP Systems. The work will be planned and specified in work packages. It is foreseen, that the tasks of the Key person will include, as a minimum To provide System Administration support, mostly SAP Authorization Management, including user management, role management, as well as running transports, upon request from the SAP Key User Group. Providing root cause analysis and reporting for end user requests and problems reported for example via IT Service desk, also in cooperation with Key users and SAP expert Consultants, user error, client setup, SAP Bugs, Customisation errors, missing authorisations etc., plus incident resolution in case of direct enduser support Triggering problem bugs resolution and communication of all details necessary for effective resolution by SAP expert consulting or SAP global support, including timely followup To facilitate and coordinate the SAP system change management process. The role is instrumental in helping to control the SAP Change Management Process and includes the following tasks, as a minimum Continuous and uptodate monitoringfollowup, tracking and documentation of bugs and enhancement until closure. Continuous and uptodate monitoringfollowup of the system transport requests provided for system changes Initiating and coordinating the system change management process by providing and collecting change details and creatingissuing the related change management forms for the changes to the system functionality Identifying testing, documentation, training materials, etc. that may be affected by system changes and following up the implementation of the required changes in a timely manner. Essential requirements The consultant providing the support is expected to have Proven experience and knowledge in providing SAP System Administration Support for SAP ERP, BW and NetWeaver Systems, Proven experience and knowledge in providing SAP Authorisation Management Support for SAP ERP and BW Systems, Proven experience and Knowledge of SAP Business Objects Administration, Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Tools, especially Microsoft Word. Desirable requirements In addition to the above, the following will be considered as advantageous Knowledge of SAP Portal Administration, Basic understanding of SAP workflow concept and models and the ability to review and trace workflow logs and errors.
