FUND manager Woodford Investment Management, based in Oxford, is one of several new investors in Immunocure as a result of the biotechnology firm's A 205m private financing round. The company said it would use the proceeds to accelerate its pipeline of biological drugs, which it calls ImmTACs, and which the biotech firm believes have the potential to treat solid cancer tumours.

JOB DESCRIPTION Tasks and Responsibilities As a member of RSO, the Copernicus S3 System and Services Operations Engineer SSyOE shall provide support to the operation of the S3 Ground System, as well as its evolution. Main duties within the S3 programme will include the support to System operations in a realtime operations environment Endtoend operations monitoring Operational interfaces within the ground segment, and to external partners, including maintenance of operational documentation JORP, OICDs, procedures etc. Communications systems operations Security operations Infrastructure operations and evolution Multimission operations, including mass storage and archiving System Evolutions Manual and Automated system and satellite operations including planning and scheduling. The role comprises a range of tasks including the provlSlon of support to the routine operation of the S3 ground segment, as well as its evolution to include new functionality and system operations. The SSyOE will be responsible for the definition andor maintenance of the routine operations procedures pertaining to system operations and the interfaces of the key systems within the ground segment acquire and maintain a Systemwide view of the EUMETSAT ground segments review any planned changes to the system configurations for the S3 ground segments, and support the investigation of anomalies encountered through the routine system and ground segment operations. provide support to the operations preparation for recurrent S3 satellites into the existing systems. interface with project teams on the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects. will perform the following routine operations tasks Definition and maintenance of system operations procedures Liaison with the spacecraft operations team to ensure the continuity and optimisation of spacecraft monitoring and control activities Liaison and coordination with the ground segment facility operations teams and system operations analysts to ensure the continuity and optimisation of ground segment and mission operations Interface and coordination with the systems maintenance teams and industry representatives to ensure optimised performance Provision of support to operational ground segment analyses Provision of standbyoncall support as system operations engineer, on an as needed basis. Profile of the SSyOE In addition to having a university degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline, the SSyOE shall have the following mandatory skills at least five years experience of System Operations in a realtime LEO spacecraft operations environment at least five years work experience defining and implementing the verification and validation of ground segment systems at least three years work experience defining, integration, acceptance testing and operation of mission data systems at least three years experience in the definition and maintenance of operational interfaces at least three years work experience in project and technical management I coordination. Experience of the following would be a distinct advantage Earth Observation ground segments experience of communications systems operations experience of operations security experience of coordination of systems development and upgrades within a 247 operations environment Windows Linux operating systems. While the official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French, the working language for the position is English and therefore the SSyOE must be able to work effectively in this language.
