This is an opportunity for an experienced SW Engineers with at least 10 years of experience in developing SMP based simulators for the SIMULUS simulation infrastructure. This position is based in our Headquarters in Europahaus in Darmstadt, Germany. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be earliest August 2019. ResponsibilitiesDuties The lead software engineer will participate in all aspects of the software life cycle from design through development, support and reengineering, validation and maintenance, with a focus on delivering high quality reliable software to satisfy our demanding customers. The systems are Linux based and are developed in C using the SMP standard and the ESAESOC SIMSATSIMULUS suite. As a team leader, the role includes the allocation of work to more junior team members, supporting and monitoring their work, and reporting progress as well as problems to the project manager. English documentation and effective support to customer onsite is also required. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Master degree or equivalent qualification in electricalelectronic engineering or physics Experience in the field of radiation effects on semiconductor components and all aspects of irradiation testing Experience with SEE rate prediction tools and sufficient knowledge of the space environment to correctly employ these tools Familiarity with shielding analysis tools sectoring and 3D MonteCarlo based, device physics simulation tools, modern programming techniques, modelling and simulation of radiation effects on EEE components for radiation hardening and software engineering practices Basic knowledge of component engineering and product assurance principles and modelling simulation Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. IT Technical Engineer

Overview We are looking for temporary Technical IT Support, to lend onsite support at ESAESAC, located in Madrid, Spain, for approximately 1 year. For the tasks and activities the specific service tasks include UNIX LINUX and SOLARIS, Macintosh and PC System Management Installation, configuration, integration, and setting up of new machines with appropriate operating systems and layered software. Administration and operation management of computer systems. Installation and configuration of new hardware and new users accounts. User support mainly scientists and engineers. Handle the mail aliases and mail distribution lists. Definition, implementation and maintenance of computer operators procedures. Issues of documentation and technical reports. Specific qualification requirements A University degree Master in Computer Science. At least 4 years of relevant working experience in the activities mentioned above.. Ideally the candidate shall have a broad experience, working in diverse companies with IT automation projects. A good level of written and spoken English and Spanish is desirable. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Spain without the need to obtain a work visa.
