Context ESA is currently designing the next generation of the European Satellite Navigation System, Galileo, which is planned to be deployed in the next decade. For the Phase B, ESA has requested the European Industry to support the system engineering activities through onsite services at ESAESTEC Task Description Were looking for a Senior System Architecture and Requirements Engineer to perform the following tasks Support ESA in the system design activities, especially for what concerns system architecture and system and segment requirements engineering Work in close cooperation with the ESA and Industry teams, extract system needs, critically assess and translate them into requirements and architectural concepts Draft system concepts, into the overall System Architecture Model, relevant to Galileo service provision evolution and supporting capabilities, considering performances, technology roadmaps, and system operability Organize and support Engineering Board, propose requirements changes and relevant justification, evaluate the impact of the change to the higher and lower levels, support the discussion and update the requirements accordingly Interact with the system analysts and support them in providing objectives, inputs and boundary conditions, and interpreting output results Act as book captain for company and ESA document as requested tradeoff documents, design definition and justification files, requirements specifications, traceability and justification, ICDs, AIV plan Ensure quality and on time delivery of company documents to the Prime contractor of the service Support ESA for technology activities reviews as needed.
