We are looking for an Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer E3 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Providing expert technical support to ESA projects, programmes and general studies throughout all project phases, specifically in the field of TTC and PDT antennas Participating in project reviews and performing inhouse design and tradeoffs to support projectspecific technology developments Defining, initiating and monitoring RD activities covering both long and shortterm needs, specifically in the field of TTC and PDT antennas Monitoring applicable scientific and technological trends and maintaining stateoftheart expertise in TTC and PDT antennas. General tasks to be performed Preparing and monitoring Research and Development activities in the field of Antennas. A diverse range of tasks will have to be carried out by the contractor within the above activity domain, encompassing hardware, software and system aspects. Provide antenna technical support to ESA projects. This includes inhouse design and tradeoff studies to support both developments and reviews. Tasks will require the analysis and design of reflector antennas and arrays and the calculation of the interference effects between antennas and the spacecraft structure. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Master degree in relevant study. At least 4 years of proven industrial experience in the field. Experience in TTC and PDT antennas, architectures and technologies as applied to space. Industrial experience is a major asset. Knowledge of antenna Space constraints at RF, mechanical, thermal and environmental levels gained from the handling of Flight Model development or RD development at high TRL level. Knowledge of antenna industrial manufacturing, testing processes, architecture and technologies. Expertise in using antenna modelling tools GRASP8, POS4, CHAMP, HFSS. For our customer in Darmstadt we are looking for a Data Processing Systems and Applications Engineer to assist in the engineering activities of the data processing systems and application software for the operational and future programs within the Data Processing Systems and Applications Competence Area. The successful candidate will be based at EUMETSAT headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany However some flexibility is allowed up to 2 day a week of offsite work. Heshe will be part of the System Engineering and Projects SEP Division. Within the SEP division heshe will provide support to the Data Processing Systems and Applications Competence Area, which is responsible for the engineering and maintenance of online and offline operational data processing systems. Tasks and Responsibilities The tasks of the Candidate shall include day to day operations and maintenance, to the handling of anomalies, upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities. Tasks will also contain the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures. For procurements and maintenance services provided externally, the key person shall provide support to the management of the technical interface with the external contractors.
