LEO Spacecraft Operations Engineer 1513069 Job Description We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support our client EUMETSAT, working in the Operations and Services to Users Department as a member of the Metop Spacecraft Operations Team. You shall be primarily assigned to the Metop Attitude and Orbit Control System AOCS operations and trained to provide operations expertise and support to further platform subsystems and or payload instruments, depending on your experience and the overall team needs. You shall also participate in coordinating the satellite operations activities of other team members and external teams responsible for onboard software management, simulator support, mission control, mission planning, flight dynamics and ground stations. Furthermore, you shall support system and operations preparation activities for MetopC, for Metop Second Generation satellites and possibly also for Sentinel6, particularly with respect to AOCS related activities. Your tasks will typically include Support to the routine operations of Metop A, B and preparing for MetopC, comprising Provision of operational expertise to the Attitude and Orbit Control System in particular, with support to other platform subsystems andor payload instruments andor onboard software management, satellite simulator and ground segment operations interfaces. Maintain the corresponding operations documentation and flight procedures, including the update and operational validation of procedures releases in a configuration controlled environment Perform trending and performance analysis on the corresponding subsystems and instruments, including definition and possibly prototyping of additional analysis checks where necessary Investigations into satellite anomalies.
