EPA Underestimates Methane Emissions

EcoWatch: U.S. methane emissions from the oil and gas industry are a third higher than previously estimated, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Friday in its annual greenhouse gas inventory submission to the United Nations. This makes the fossil fuel industry the largest source of methane emissions in the U.S., accounting for one-third of total U.S. methane emissions.
