Job description For our customer, the European Space Agency ESA, we are seeking to recruit an experienced SystemSoftware Engineer to work at ESAs ESTEC site in Noordwijk, in the Netherlands. Responsibilities You will be assigned to ESAESTECs Technology Demonstration Projects Section within the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management. Reporting to the Project Managers, you will provide support in assigned CubeSat InOrbit Demonstration projects such as ESAs PROBA series from early definition phase to the implementation phase and launchoperations phase, or CubeSat technology development activities. This includes Maintain interfaces with the relevant CubeSat prime contractorssystem integrators industryresearch institute for the assigned projects. Maintain interfaces with the ESA technical specialists for reviews and ad hoc support. Coordination of CubeSat project reviews. Follow up technical issues arising on the CubeSat projects and participate in risk reduction activities. This is a full time position located at ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The requested start of work is July 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have A Masters Degree in Space Systems Engineering or similar and a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional working experience. Background and knowledge in spacecraft system and mission design with high RD content. Expert knowledge of CubeSat projects through the complete lifecycle, including mission designoperations, systems design AIV, subsystem technologiesproducts. Knowledge ofexperience in the practical application of tailored engineeringquality standards such as ECSS series to CubeSat projects would be an asset.
