We are looking for a Meteosat Mission Control Operations Engineer mfd to work at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. Your Tasks The Meteosat Second Generation MSG programme supports EUMETSATs geostationary mission, supporting services through the exploitation of four inorbit satellites. The Mission Control Systems Team is responsible for the routine operation of the MSG Central Facility in cooperation with the maintenance teams from the Technical Services and Scientific Support Department TSS. The Meteosat Third Generation MTG programme, led by the Geostationary Programmes Division GEO within the Programme Development Department PRD, performs the MTG preparatory activities in cooperation with the European Space Agency ESA. The programme should guarantee access to geostationary satellitebased meteorological data until at least the late 2030s. The candidate shall provide service to the system development and operations preparation of the MTG Mission Operations Facility performed within GEO division and be provided in coordination with the relevant spacecraft and system operations and development teams and shall comprise a range of tasks for the MTG programme, including contribution to the design and development of the MTG Mission Operations Facility, related subsystems and interfaces, in particular with a focus on the Mission Operations Facility operability the definition and development of operational concepts compatible with the Mission Operations Facility design and the MTGspecific Packet Utilisation Services PUS the refinement of the MTG mission operations concept in relation to the Mission Operations Facility and its implementation in the Reference Operations Plan and System Operations File, including related documents and procedures, databases, etc the definition of MTG mission operations data items including displays, operations procedures, operational databases, operations guides, etc the definition and implementation of Mission Operations Facility operational interfaces the definition and implementation of Mission Operations Facility subsystem acceptance and MOF system integration testing, in particular with focus on operationallyrelevant validation test scenarios the execution of Mission Operations Facility system verification and validation activities the definition and implementation of MTG Ground Segment system verification and validation activities, including formal system operational scenario validation, SVTs, and operations rehearsals the execution of MTG System, MTG Ground Segment, MOF system and subsystem reviews, technical meetings, and scheduling and planning meetings the review and implementation of planned changes to the system configuration the review, disposition and resolution of system anomalies when applicable for specific prelaunch testing and postlaunch operations, the provision of oncall support as part of a team of MCS engineers. Your Profile In addition to having a university degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline, the key person shall have the following mandatory attributes at least three years experience in the operations preparation and routine operations of spacecraft mission control systems for Geostationary GEO andor Low Earth Orbit LEO satellite systems at least two years experience defining and implementing the verification and validation of spacecraft mission control systems at least two years experience operating a spacecraft mission control system based on SCOS2000 at least two years experience with the application of ECSS and CCSDS standards for spacetoground interfaces, Satellite Monitoring Control Systems Packet Telemetry and Telecommand standards, PUS Packet Utilisation Standard, etc. Experience of the following would be a distinct advantage extensive experience in the use of databases and SQLrelated querying in relation to spacecraft mission control systems experience using configuration management systems such as CVSSVN and or GIT experience using satellite simulators familiarity with flight dynamics and mission planning functions and systems as applied to satellite operations. Fleet Operations Mission Planner

The Fleet Operations Mission Planner MP is an engineer reporting to the Mission Planning Lead and is responsible for all aspects of spacecraft operations planning. A successful candidate is an engineer or technician with satellite subsystem and operations knowledge. The MP understands constraints to satellite and ground system operations, activity dependencies, systems limitations, and operational priorities. Tasks include analyzing and processing planning requests for feasibility, contact scheduling, and mission plan development and publishing. In addition, the Mission planner will process realtime change requests and modifications to the plan. The planner interfaces with other crew positions, resolves conflicts, and makes notifications per the Mission Planning process. Responsibilities Development, deconfliction, and publishing of the constellation mission plan Receive, process, screen and deploy spacecraft activity schedules Deconflict plan requests based on operational priorities and constraints Configure, operate, and troubleshoot planning system software applications Respond to unscheduled outages, applications software issuesfailures Perform onconsole mission planning activities in a rotating shift environment Required Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have experience in Satellite and ground system operations Activity prioritization and planning Realtime schedule deconfliction Spacecraft activity feasibility analysis Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of all aspects of job and take initiative Excellent oral and written skills and communication briefing skills is essential. A minimum of 2 years of aerospace industry or equivalent experience required with 5 years preferred. Direct experience in resource or mission planning software application system configuration and operation, Launch and Early Obit Operations, sustaining Satellite Operations, and Flight Dynamics is highly desirable. Fleet Operations Mission Director

The Fleet Operations Mission Director MD reports to the Senior Fleet Management Systems Engineer and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the OneWeb fleet of satellites. The MD has the authority to execute any and all actions necessary to maintain payload service, health of the satellites, and overall smooth operations in the OneWeb Satellite Operations Center SOC. The MD is also the orchestrator, coordinator and final authority to operations elements in the Fleet Management Segment including the Command and Control, Flight Dynamics, Mission Planning, Mission Management, Engineering and Analytics, Infrastructure, and Earth Station Control elements. The MD ensures all internal and external interfaces operate nominally. The MD manages the SOC operations team, ensures adequate operator and support personnel coverage, makes notifications per procedures and leads all contingency or emergency actions necessary. Responsibilities Lead and manage all planned operations activities within the SOC real time operations Coordinate actions and activities with Fleet Operations Management team Leads and manages nominal operations of all elements and interfaces Leads contingency and emergency activities including notifications, chairs anomaly response meetings and ensures complete plans to recover are drafted and executed Prepares shift handover briefings and ensures proper shift handovers are completed between all positions prior to accepting control of the fleet Required Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have experience in o Leading large teams of realtime operations personnel and engineers o Realtime flight operations console expertise o Operations software use, configuration and troubleshooting Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of all aspects of job and take initiative Excellent oral and written skills and communication briefing skills is essential. A minimum of 10 years of aerospace industry or equivalent experience required with 15 years preferred.
