We are recruiting a Mission Control Systems Operations Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the planning, supervision and execution of mission control systems operations for all our LEO missions, along with facilitating the preparation our recurrent spacecraft. You will also maintain the operational procedures, system databases and other tools and products used to support our mission control systems and use your expertise to identify ways to enhance opportunities as we prepare for the launch of the next generation of satellites. This is an opportunity to enhance your experience in the development, maintenance and operations of satellite mission control systems. With your experience in verification and validation testing of operational ground segments, you will help manage evolutions of LEO mission control systems to increase capacity, performance and efficiency, and to prevent obsolescence. You will use your organisational skills in an operational environment, communicating ideas and issues clearly and concisely. Earth Observation Mission Spacecraft Operations Engineer

This role is for delivering a Spacecraft Operations Engineering service, requiring a junior Spacecraft Operations Engineer, assigned initially to preoperational Sentinel or Earth Explorer missions within the ESOC Earth Observation mission division. The primary areas of responsibility for this service covers Spacecraft Platform Thermal, Power, TTC and Ground Operations engineer in support to the Earth Observation missions, in prevision of the upcoming preoperational activities to be performed with the current and future Sentinels and Earth Explorers missions. The successful engineer will be assigned as a member of the Flight Control Team FCT, to participate in the preoperational phases, including special operations i.e. LEOP, Commissioning and in testing campaigns Simulations, SVT, inflight tests. The service provider may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. Responsibilities Duties The general activities to be supported by this service, dependant on the mission phase, are Satellite Operations Validation, test and operation of the Mission Control System MCS, including the Mission Planning System, Validation, test and operation of the Simulator, Generation, validation and maintenance of the Flight Operations Procedures FOP, initially for the platform PowerThermalTTC area, but also for other subsystems Support for Flight Operations Segment FOS procurement, integration and tests, Participation in System Validation Tests SVT, Ground Segment Validation GSV and Training and Simulations programme, Review of satellite documentation, Participation to preoperational activities LEOP andor Commissioning operations as required. Ground Segment Operations Collection of information data regarding the performance of the mission and provision of inputs for mission reports, Support the FCT in the configuration, setup and operation of the Sentinels NDIU CORTEX and Lite, Support the FCT in the configuration, setup and operation of the Sentinels MUST and GFTS servers, Routine Mission plan generation supportchecking, as required. Qualifications Experiences University degree or equivalent education in Electric or Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering. Essential skills Initial experience 12 years in working in an operational environment, Initial experience 12 years with flight procedures life cycle, including validation, Initial experience 12 years with the Packet Utilisation Standard PUS, Initial experience 12 years in ground tests preparation and execution, e.g. SVTs and GSVs, Good experience with office automation tools, including MSEXCEL and MSACCESS, Some programming experience, possibly with Visual Basic andor SQL, Initial experience 12 years with anomaly investigations at Ground Segment level, Familiarity with operational simulators, ideally SimSat 12 years, Familiarity with satellite control systems, ideally SCOS2000 12 years Initial experience with low Earth orbit satellites operations 12 years, ideally including experience in preparatory phase OPSPREP and special operations LEOP, simulations campaign, Commissioning, Wellorganised, proactive, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel, Capable of coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields, Fluency in English, both in speech and writing. MOC Mission Operations Center Controller Betzdorf Luxembourg YOUR ROLE The position is responsible for the 247 support, management and monitoring of GovSat services, specifically supporting Governmental defence and CivilianInstitutional security communications.
