About the Role As Rocket Labs Mission Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing all customer relationships and ensuring that their requirements are fully met at each and every stage of the process from first contact to satellite launch. Mission Manager Our customer, Avanti Telecommunications is a world leader in satellite data communications. It pioneered the use of high throughput satellites at the Kaband frequencies. Major organisations are now using its networks for cellular backhaul, IP trunking, complex government and enterprise networks and video services, as well as broadband. HE Space is supporting Avanti in the search for the HYLAS 3 Mission Manager. In this senior role you will be responsible for the ongoing procurement of the HYLAS 3 mission through system and space segment level, taking into account performance, cost and schedule requirements. At space segment level the HYLAS 3 Mission Manager will be responsible for the payload, its compatibility with the platform, launch vehicle, ground segment and regulatory requirements. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Deliver the HYLAS 3 mission to schedule, cost and performance Maintain and implement the mission project management plan Oversee requirements at all levels including verification and validation Oversee the HYLAS 3 interface compatibility with the space segment, platform, launch vehicle, ground segment and regulations.
