Job Description As project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of a flight electronics development. You will act as the first point of contact towards the customer and will be steering an internal team of 510 multidisciplinary engineers. You take the lead in managing the subcontractors and suppliers. Job Experience You have a profound handson knowledge in equipment design for space, a master degree in electronics, proven peopleproject management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadlinedriven environment. At least 510 years of experience in a similar role and familiar with practices of and dealings with the European Space Agency ESA Job Competences You are well organized, maintaining overview, being able to distinguish important from less important matters, accurate and resultdriven. You possess good communication skills and are able to express yourself fluently in English Dutch and French are an asset. You are eager to learn, loyal, dynamic, motivated and responsible. Location The principle job location is Antwerp Hoboken though short duration missions abroad are part of this challenging job environment. Tasks We are seeking a candidate, who will initially support the evolution of our Flight Dynamics software product PLENITEROrbit, with the option to later join the Flight Dynamics team providing support to our customers onsite. The successful candidate will initially work in our Darmstadt office to support the evolution of our Flight Dynamics software including Orbit Determination Propagation Manoeuvre Planning, Optimisation and Calibration Collision Avoidance Support Event Prediction, Coverage and Contact Analysis Interfaces for data exchange with internal and external entities Attitude modelling Our Flight Dynamics software is based on an underlying operationally proven astrodynamics computation engine. Essential requirements The successful candidate will have A Minimum of a university degree in aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent A sound knowledge of celestial mechanics and spacecraft flight dynamics Experience in objectoriented sw programming Experience with flight dynamics software tools, procedures and data exchange formats Fluency in English Desirable requirements The following would be an advantage Familiarity with Flight Dynamics operations operational experience Experience with JAVA programming and WindowsUNIX operating systems.
