Job description For our customer, ESAESTEC, we are seeking an experienced Flight Software Systems Engineer to work at ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. You will be assigned to the Flight Software Systems Section within the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management. Responsibilities The contractor will be assigned to the Flight Software Systems Section of the Software Systems Division and shall function as an integrated team member of the development team, in charge of the following initial tasks General Support to Software Validation Facilities SVF and Avionics Test Bench ATB infrastructure activities. Project support related to all technical aspects development and qualification of flight software. Further supporting tasks in the following areas Interface adaptations between SVF and Test Bench models. Adaptation and upgrade of ATB for the EagleEye mission Integration of TSP Time and Space Partitioning based system execution environment Supporting integration of Multicore based system execution environment Support dedicated projects SVF infrastructure development including processor simulators This is a full time located at ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate will have a Masters Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline At least 4 years of relevant working experience with in particular experience of Software engineering and objectoriented programming Space systems and Space Systems engineering Programming languages CC andor others Embedded Real Time Systems and Real Time Kernels Microprocessors such as SPARC LEON, ARM, multicores etc. Communication protocols Mil1553, SpaceWire, CAN Software Engineering tools Software Engineering Standards such as the ECSSEST40C The contractor shall be able to function as part of a team.
