A vacancy for a Senior Lead Integration Engineer Network Security has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Newport. The successful applicant will join the Network Integration Engineering TCSKT5. This requires the candidate to be highly skilled with proven competence in the field of the design and development of network communications services that are designed for assured and high assured networks. You will have to provide architecture and design skills into bid and project teams proposing and delivering solutions based primarily on COTS applications in Service based solutions and to own the architecture and design activities as technical design authority for their given specialism. The successful candidate will be subject to security clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. You have the following tasks and responsibility Acting as a Senior SME for Secure Network Communications, within that scope Devise, create and fully describe the logical and capability based system architectural views Identify the relevant COTS components to achieve these architectural views Contribute to bid and delivery projects through assessment, design and implementation planning of ICT system, whist establishing the requirements on the underlying platforms and security requirements. GALILEO EXPLOITATION In accordance to the GNSS Regulation4, the European Commission has the overall responsibility to ensure the security of the programmes Galileo and EGNOS and adopts the high level security objectives and the necessary technical specifications and measures to implement these high level objectives. The European Commission delegates to the European GNSS Agency the responsibilities to implement the security measures in the exploitation phases of the programmes. In addition, the role of the European GNSS Agency, in the exploitation phase, includes tasks in particular as follows i Operational activities of the Galileo and EGNOS programmes including system infrastructure management, maintenance, ongoing improvement, certification and standardisation, as well as service provision ii Development and deployment activities of the evolution and future generations of the systems, including procurement activities.
