(Telecompaper) Huawei has unveiled the Huawei Ascend P7 LTE-enabled smartphone. The new device features a 5-inch full HD display, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, the latest intuitive Emotion UI 2.3 and a 2,500 mAh battery. The Huawei Ascend P7 also comes equipped with an Ultra Snapshot function that enables the user to be camera-ready 1.2 seconds after double-clicking the down volume button while in the locked screen, Voice Photo that enables photos to be accompanied by 10-second audio clips and a proprietary Image Signal Processor (ISP).

Tesco, a British-born multinational grocery store chain, plans to launch its own smartphone later this year. The device will reportedly run on Android software and have specs comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S5. Of course, the Galaxy doesn't come equipped with preinstalled Tesco services; the new phone will. Tesco has been electronically progressive, at least as far as supermarkets are concerned.
