The European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency GSA has set up a selection procedure that aims to establishing a reserve list for Ground System Exploitation Engineer. The Galileo Ground System Exploitation Engineer shall report to the Galileo Operations and Maintenance Manager. Such reporting may change according to potential evolutions of the organisation. The Galileo Ground System Exploitation Engineer tasks and responsibilities may or shall include without limitation Participating to the ground segment development review design and qualification for aspects related to maintenance requirements, RAMS Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety analyses, LSA Logistic Support Analysis, ILS Integrated Logistic Support, Obsolescence Reviewing the Integrated Logistic Support concept defined at system level and ensuring a consistent implementation of ILS program by the Ground Segment and Operations contractors Contributing to the Galileo Operations and Maintenance Concept documents for aspects related to maintenance Contributing to the Galileo Service Requirement documents by defining the relevant requirements in the areas of ILS, maintenance, availability, reliability and obsolescence Definingreviewing the Asset Management Strategy e.g. spare parts, test equipment, etc. and reviewing the related LSA, plans and reports e.g. asset utilization plan, spare parts analysis and procurement plans, etc. during the run of the contracts Supporting the definition of the Obsolescence Management Strategy, review the obsolescence plans defined at segment level and the reports Analysingreviewing the asdesigned and as built RAMS analysis provided by the Galileo Ground Segment manufacturers and the way it is used by the Galileo Operator for defining maintenance strategy Identifying risks related to the Galileo Service Provision and defining, proposing and implementing risk mitigation action plans, relevant to the tasks under herhis responsibility Definingmaintaining the Key Performance Indicators KPIs and analysing contractors performances, processes, procedures, reports, service provision risks Contributing to the analysis of the contracts changes proposals, relevant to the maintenance tasks under herhis responsibility and participate in the Contracts Change Evaluation Boards Providing inputs and participating regularly in Operational Review Boards e.g. Anomaly Review Boards, Configuration Change Boards and Working Groups, relevant to the tasks under herhis responsibility Supporting configuration or inventory audits and inspections Followup softwareCOTS Commercial Off the Shelf maintenance processes run by GSA contractors and support the related configuration audit and inspections Follow the daybyday activities related to Operations, anomalies and ILS conducted by the Galileo Service Operator GSOp contractor in close coordination with the European Space Agency Ensuring the technical interface with the industry for what concerns ILS aspects of the Ground Infrastructure and its evolution For a more detailed job description and further information on the application procedure please visit our career website httpwww.gsa.europa.eugsajobsopportunities

The European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency GSA has set up a selection procedure that aims to establish a reserve list for Programme Manager for Galileo Exploitation. The Programme Manager will report to the Executive Director, nevertheless such hierarchical reporting may change, in perspective of the developments of the GSA organisation. Tasks and responsibilities indicated below are also subject to possible adjustments. Among other tasks, heshe will be responsible for Managing the GSA Galileo Exploitation Team currently composed of approximately 20 staff members Managing the planning and execution of Galileo Exploitation programme activities in compliance with the Delegation Agreements from the Commission, and ensuring the associated GSA interface with Commission representatives Conducting Galileo Service Engineering activities mission analyses from user needs to mission requirements specifications, new service design, user segment standards development Specifying the needs for Galileo Service and System Evolutions and implementing the associated design and development activities through a Working Arrangement with ESA, and ensuring the associated GSA interface with ESA representatives Ensuring the delivery of Galileo services Initial Services, then Full Operational Capability Services, coordinating the different contributors to such service delivery Prepararing, negotiating and managing the Galileo Service Operations Activities, including Galileo Service Centre in Madrid, the Search Rescue SAR Galileo Centre in Toulouse and Galileo Reference Centre in Noordwijk, thus guaranteeing proper interface with the Galileo Security Monitoring Centre GSMC, in Paris Preparing, in coordination with the GSA Security Department and ESA, the Galileo security accreditation milestones Representing the Agency in public communication events Furthermore, the Programme Manager for Galileo exploitation will also contribute to other tasks of the Agency, as necessary. Finally, as mentioned above and importantly, such description of tasks may evolve together with the evolution of the Agencys missions and organisation. The location for the post of Programme Manager for Galileo exploitation is foreseen to be Prague Czech Republic. Regular to frequent missions are foreseen for this post.

Nearly all electronics companies in Australia are failing to fully trace their raw materials to ensure against slavery and exploitation in their supply chains, according to Baptist World Aid's Electronics Industry Trends report. Most, if not all, electronics companies in Australia have failed to fully investigate whether raw materials used in their products were obtained using slave labour or some other form of exploitation, a new report shows.
