You will be joining a transnational team of 2025. You will be responsible for supporting spacecraft electrical systems design activities for the Earth Navigation and Science business unit, including Earth observation, and deep space missions. This will include design and implementation phases up to verification and launch, as well as early phase mission concept studies and proposals. You and your team will be covering all aspects of the spacecraft electrical systems including, power, data handling, RF Comms, EMC and electrical interface and harnessing and a wide range of experience and flexibility is required. Were also looking for someone who will share inspiration, process improvement and RD with the local and transnational electrical teams. This role comes with occasional European and UK travel Tasks accountabilities Typically an electrical architect may be required to lead, or work within a small team of electrical architectsengineers engaged in the design, specification, procurement and verification of spacecraft electrical subsystems. Responsible for the selection and implementation of the electrical subsystem architecture in accordance with Product Policy. Ensure that all relevant system requirements are captured. Manage the team, potentially consisting of Supplier Managers, Drawing Office, PA, and other electrical architects etc, ensuring that processes and standards are applied to the Electrical Systems Power generation, processing and distribution, AvionicsData handling for the platform and payload systems, Communications for the platform and payload, Electrical harness and EMC. Manage and maintain electrical work package budgets, reporting and schedule, including forecasting of resources required, and acting as an interface between customer, suppliers and internal management. Working alongside the Procurement Organisation, oversee the technical management of Electrical equipment subcontracts through the appointed subsystem architects to ensure on time on cost on quality delivery to the project.
