FTTH NL: T-Mobile offers 1 Gbps in The Hague, KPN starts work in Maarssen

(Telecompaper) T-Mobile Netherlands has launched a 1 Gbps broadband service for the first residents to be connected to its FTTH network in The Hague. The Segbroek area is the first to be covered. The 1 Gbps plan is similar to what T-Mobile offers elsewhere at 750 Mbps. A triple-play package is available for the first months for EUR 32.50 and then will cost EUR 57.50.

(Telecompaper) Our Eurpean Telecom Services index was up 1.2 percent for week 38, outperforming the EuroStoxx 50 (+0.6%). Forthnet, the Greek ISP, led as it gained 66 percent on takeover news. Altice Europe (+14%) and Tele2 (+7.0%) also did well. Iridium, down 16 percent, was the weakest stock. Year-to-date, our index is up 9.0 percent, far behind the EuroStoxx 50, which is up 19.0 percent.
