Tasks Preparations for future satellite Programmes including Meteosat Third Generation MTG, EUMETSAT Polar System 2nd Generation EPSSG and Copernicus, previously known as GMES Global Monitoring for Environment and Security, Sentinel3 are ongoing. The EUMETSAT TSS Technical and Scientific Support Department provides in an integrated manner scientific and engineering support to EUMETSATs programmes during the development and operations phases, and process assurance project control to the whole organisation. Within the TSS Department, the GSI Generic Systems and Infrastructure Division is in charge of engineering, maintaining and upgrading generic ground segment functions, services, infrastructure and tools in response to requirements of operational and future programmes. The Data Services Engineering Team within the GSI Division is responsible for the maintenance and evolution of all Data Access Long Term Storage services to address both the increased needs for operational systems and the added requirements for the future programmes in unified development logic. As a member of the Generic and Systems Infrastructure Division, the key person shall provide support to the development and maintenance of data services systems.
