For the location in Fucino Italy we are looking for a Galileo Ground Control Segment AIV Engineerfm Tasks Organise the GCSOPS coordination meetings Provide the onsite interface between the Galileo Ground Control Segment GCS Prime and the Operations Team for issues regarding access to GCS infrastructure Provide the interface and coordinating the ESA GCS Team, ESA PA, GCS Prime and the Operations Team for the management of anomalies and changes in the GCS infrastructure. In particular this includes supporting the onsite Anomaly Review and Change Control Boards Monitoring the GCS Prime onsite activities with respect to the agreed plans and schedules, and to report on any issues arising from lack of adequate resources Supporting the review and monitoring of the GCS Prime plans and schedules of onsite activity and ensuring that they are compatible with Operations Team constraints, and constraints arising from the Element Procurement activities Ensuring that the agreed training tools, courses and materials are made available to the Operations Team at the agreed dates Ensuring that the GCS Prime maintain a proper configuration control system for all onsite data, including ILS data, inventory data, SW installed and segment configuration data Ensure that an integrated and verified subset of the GCS is successfully and timely handed over to OPS Prime Spaceopal to support each planned SVT and SCTC End to End test Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the deployment, verification or validation of any element Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the overall segment AIV strategy or planning Participate in the testing and validation of the various infrastructure elements of the Galileo Ground Control Segment Support acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Support research and development activities in the area of mission data Systems Provide the onsite interface between the GCS Prime and the Operations Team for issues regarding access to GCS infrastructure Ensuring that the GCS Prime maintain a proper configuration control system for all onsite data, including ILS data, inventory data, SW installed and segment configuration data Ensure that an integrated and verified subset of the GCS is successfully and timely handed over to OPS Prime to support each planned SVT and SCTC End to End test Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the deployment, verification or validation of any element Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the overall segment AIV strategy or planning Providing the interface and coordinating the ESA GCS Team, ESA PA, GCS Prime and the Operations Team for the management of anomalies and changes in the GCS infrastructure. TASKS The Project Management Support Consultant will provide support to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager and team for management related aspects. The key person shall report to the EPSSG Ground Segment Manager, who is responsible for the ground segment project and for the daytoday assignment of the Consultants activities. The tasks of the Project Management Support Consultant will typically include but not necessarily be limited to the following Participate in team management meetings and in meetings with partner agencies, contractors, internal stakeholders, etc. as appropriate Track progress against agreed development plans and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Track actions and risks, analysing and reporting critical issues to the Project Manager, and support the close out of such actions and risk mitigation activities Prepare minutes of meetings and correspondence to industry andor EUMETSAT partners Contribute to the preparation and execution of the Project Reviews from a management standpoint Contribute to maintaining the project schedule in coordination with EPSSG team members, perform a critical path analysis of the schedule In coordination with the EPSSG Project Control Team, support the Project Manager and team in maintaining project documents such as the Project Management Plan, Product Tree, Team Organisation Chart, Work Breakdown Structure WBS and related documents Prepare presentations and synthetic progress reports for internal e.g. report to senior management and external purposes Follow up subsystem development activities monitor deliverables to and from EUMETSATs partner agencies and industry, and support the review of deliverables.
