Galileo Simulations Officer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will have the following responsibilities Ensure that the simulator configuration is always in line with the satellite status Create scripts for the generation of breakpoints for different validation scenarios Organize nominal and contingency simulation campaigns in preparation for launches and for team training certification and refresher Generation of KAF files for the CSIM setup Act as a point of contact between GCS sim developer and the FCT to facilitate AR resolution Ensure coordination between centers for sim campaigns and general information exchange on ARs and workarounds Support the Flight Control Team with training and validation of operational scenarios as part of simulation Act as representative in important training and simulation related activities Generate and maintain relevant operations documentation Follow upsupport reviews and milestones Interface to the management and groundflightmission operations team. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in engineering or other relevant field Several years in a similar role Strong background in training Good knowledge of satellite subsystems Good knowledge of the CSIM element including all its limitations, major ARs and scripts which are part of each delivery Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Galileo Simulations Officer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you be will working at ESAs Space Operations Centre ESOC and will be responsible for training the Mission Control Team, in preparation for the launch or other mission critical phases. Specifically, you will be responsible for Developing the training concept and the associated Simulation Plan Training delivery including simulator breakpoint preparation, testing of contingencies, writing briefing and debriefing messages, and running simulations Planning and developing failure cases of increasing difficulty to be introduced into the simulations, in order to train the Mission Control Team in nonnominal operations and application of mission rules Support the operational training of other staff, including but not limited to Ground Operations Managers and ESTRACK Control Centre ECC operators Support general training and simulation activities at ESOC. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in engineering or other relevant field Good spacecraft knowledge on a subsystem level coupled with experience in an operational environment Ability to understand and accurately predict the behaviour of complex systems Operational training and operational simulators, ideally based on SimSat Satellite control systems, ideally based on SCOS2000 Programmingscripting languages e.g. C, Java, JavaScript Operational training and instructional design methodologies Familiarity with the ESOC working environment and Quality Management System would be an asset Experience with prelaunch activities and launch campaigns would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
