Interference has unfortunately become much more prevalent with an increasing number of transmitters coming on the air. Wireless service providers will use spectrum analyzers to monitor their channels, frequencies, and adjacent spectrums to reveal the interfering signal to the user. In order to increase the functionality and expandability of a spectrum analyzer for improved monitoring and interference management, NI (National Instruments) has paired their PXI hardware with the OASIS spectrum monitoring package to enable deployment of multiple spectrum analyzers with high throughput and improved service.

Carrying front-end supporting ±256 V input, with sampling rate of 20 MSPS and 16-bit resolution, M9217A single-slot, 2-channel, isolated digitizer uses ADC on each channel to ensure measured signals are accurately digitized without distortion or additional noise. Channel input range is configurable from ±250 mV up to ±256 V, with floating voltage up to ±40 V to accommodate differential waveform acquisition. Each channel comes with 32M sample memory with ability to record up to 1,024 records.
