Tasks The Instrument Data Processing Engineer IDPE shall mainly perform tasks related to instrument data processing in support of Copernicus Sentinel3 Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS, during the routine operations phase. The IDPE will start before launch, and support the commissioning and early operations, as well as the configuration and tuning of the PDGS. The tasks primarily cover the support to the operation of the various data processing components including Data ingestion, processing and product distribution Data and Product analysis The testing and the implementation of new products Settingup and implementation of operational procedures and documentation Anomaly investigation First line maintenance Coordination with external organisations and service providers Attendance at technical meetings Participation in formal reviews. Essential requirements In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Consultant shall have the following mandatory skills At least 3 years experience in operations of realtime satellite instrument data processing systems Demonstrated experience in Instrument data processing of Level0 data and generationdistribution of meteorological andor environmental products Demonstrated experience in Near real time data driven automated systems in large computer networks Significant experience of validating complex remote sensing data processing systems Demonstrated experience with UNIXLinux operating systems.
