Swedish Atomic Tax to Get EU Ruling Amid Industry Complaints
2015-10-01 11:21:32| Appliances - Topix.net
The European Union Court of Justice will make a preliminary decision at 10 a.m. in Brussels on whether Sweden's levy on the available power of reactors rather than the actual amount of electricity they provide violates the EU's energy tax directive. After the tax was increased by 17 percent in August, it now costs the nuclear industry about 4.6 billion kronor a year, according to lobby group Swedenergy.
