Selectmen are frustrated with inaction on the part of the non-profit affiliated with Ristuccia Arena in responding to a request for documents, and will be consulting with Town Counsel to discuss alternatives for getting the information they're looking for from the group. The board had sought meeting minutes and other records from the Investment in Youth Foundation, the non-profit group in charge of the rink, on Aug. 20 after residents complained about the lack of ice time for local groups.

Rhode Island officials warn of respiratory illness

State health officials say they assume a respiratory infection that has caused some serious illness in other states will soon be in Rhode Island, if it isn't here already. Rhode Island Department of Health says it has tested several patients for enterovirus D68 and is waiting on test results from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
