Reuters: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will give the public until December to comment on its sweeping proposal to curb carbon pollution from the country's power plants after some industry groups and state officials pressed for more time. Fluor Corporation recently achieved substantial completion for the Ferguson Replacement Project, a high-efficiency combined-cycle power plant located in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Developed by the Lower Colorado River Authority , the new 540 megawatt natural gas-fired power plant replaces the now-closed and less efficient 420 megawatt Thomas C. Ferguson Power Plant, which was built in 1974.
