AAMA Updated Specification addresses liquid-applied flashing.

AAMA has updated document specifying performance requirements for liquid applied flashing used to provide water-resistive seal around exterior wall openings in buildings that includes fenestration products such as windows and doors, as well as other through-wall penetrations. Minimum requirements for adhesive bond and accelerated aging were defined, reporting requirements were updated, and use of mortar slabs was replaced by anodized aluminum strips for water immersion testing.

AAMA 2014/2015 U.S. Industry Statistical Review and Forecast delivers timely information on window, door, and skylight market trends and product relationships. Total housing starts continued growth in 2014 with strong gains particularly in multifamily segment, up by 14%, while single family starts increased by 4%. Demand for prime windows improved significantly in 2014 and increased overall by just under 5%. Residential skylights closed the year with growth rate of more than 4% over 2013 volume.

AAMA 305-15 references test procedures and requirements for standard weathering performance, as well as requirements covering design criteria, finish and appearance, and physical properties.
