Although surface pressures remain low across the area, upper-level winds are expected to be unfavorable for development during the next few days. Gradual development of this disturbance is possible, and a tropical depression could form during the next several days while the system moves slowly westward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent. A small area of low pressure, located about 1500 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, is producing disorganized showers.
