FAA proposes a $917,000 civil penalty against the Puerto Rico Ports Authority for alleged aircraft rescue and firefighting violations at three of its commercial airports: Rafael Hernandez Airport, Mercedita Airport, and Antonio Rivera Rodriguez Airport. Some examples include: failing to ensure that firefighters received recurrent aircraft familiarization training, not inspecting tenant fueling facilities, and conducting self-inspections in afternoon or at night rather than sunrise.
