System Engineer MF Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated engineering graduate in a technical discipline to work in ESAs Human Spaceflight project. The position is based at our customers premises and will start around 1st of August 2015. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES The position is an exciting mix of shift and offline engineering duties approx. 6040. Tasks Operational work related to the onorbit operations for Thermal Control TCS, Environmental Control ECLSS and Electrical Power Distribution EPDS by performing the following tasks Responsible for monitoring the performance of TCS, ECLSS and EPDS Responsible for exchanging important information and providing operations information of the Onboard systems Performs EWACS functions like smoke detection, fire suppression and other safety related issues Monitors the performance of the Onboard software, and controls the execution of the system software programs Onboard software management, including the uplink and onboard loading and exchange of software modules and data files Provides Onboard endtoend communications oversight Ensures that onboard communications reconfigurations are implemented in accordance with the planned timelines Monitors remote site commanding for link or command handling problems Preparation of hand over report TRAINING There will be approx. 6 month training period. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE University degree preferably, Master degree in technical discipline or aerospace engineering or any other relevant technical discipline ESSENTIAL SKILLS Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Ability to work autonomously according to high level guidelines and to interface with technical and management personnel, proactive and confident personality. Radar Systems Engineer

Radar Systems Engineer As part of the systems engineering group, the radar systems engineer will work in a multidisciplinary team defining the architecture and the performance of payloads for remote sensing satellites. Specific requirements Thorough understanding of requirements management including detailed knowledge of a requirements management tool Experienced in the flow of radar system requirements to lower level specifications Experienced as a leader or key team member of a radar system design Assessed radar performance and engineering budget generation and maintenance for SAR systems Defined interfaces between units and subsystems for radar or similar equipment and between radar and spacecraft bus Familiar with the software process for embedded systems Can communicate across all levels of the company from manufacturing to management Experienced in troubleshooting flight hardware and software Experienced in supporting and presenting at design reviews Experienced in presenting complex issues to the customer Preparation of the technical content of radar proposals Working knowledge of configuration control Working knowledge of system engineering practices Experienced in defining technical scope for major subcontractors and providing technical direction Capability in the generation of SAR test requirements General requirements Bachelors or higher degree in engineering or related subject At least 15 years experience in radar design and manufacture or closely related At least 5 years work experience in space industry
