Jan 13 State-controlled oil producer Petroleo Brasileiro SA hired Banco Bradesco BBI to help sell a 36.1 percent stake in petrochemical giant Braskem SA, Folha de S. Paulo newspaper reported on Wednesday. The company, commonly known as Petrobras, wants to dispose of the Braskem stake to help raise cash from a targeted $15.1 billion in asset divestments by the end of the year, Folha reported, without citing sources.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a report Tuesday that stated about 70 percent of teens are exposed to e-cigarette ads through numerous mediums. A federal report released Tuesday indicated 7 in 10 teens are exposed to e-cigarette advertising in retail stores, the Internet and on TV.

Joseph Nacchio, the former Qwest Communications International [CTLQW.UL] chief executive, has won a $14.2 million jury verdict against a Goldman Sachs Group Inc unit and financial adviser over the sale of life insurance policies, his law firm said on Thursday. Nacchio and his wife said Goldman's Ayco financial planning unit and their former adviser David Weinstein breached their fiduciary duties by failing to tell them that the $95 million of variable life insurance they bought in 2000 would likely lapse before their life expectancies, the law firm Nagel Rice said.
Hedge Funds May Be Challenging Riksbank on Krona, SEB Says

Hedge funds may be gearing up to place bets against the Swedish central bank's efforts to halt gains in the krona, according to SEB AB. It must be "a concern" that the krona has only weakened to about 9.21 per euro from about 9.15 last week after the bank said it was prepared to intervene directly in the currency market, said Johan Javeus, chief strategist at SEB, in a note.
