Albany metro can absorb even more new apartments, HUD says

The 400,000-square-foot former Albany International building on Broadway in Menands will be converted into 145 luxury apartments. A ceremonial groundbreaking for the $29.5 million project was held Monday.

Since the recent drop in oil prices from $100 per barrel to around $50 per barrel, predictions about where prices are going have been all over the board. Estimates have been as low as $20 per barrel and as high as $200 per barrel.

Grasmere station renovations to be completed in August, says MTA

This April marks two years of delays to the opening of the the Staten Island Railway's renovated Grasmere station. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority began repairs to the station in May 2012, and had originally scheduled to complete work in April of the following year.
