As a result, more than half of business leaders (55%) say that, so far, they have not maximized the power of data to gain a competitive advantage. And its obvious. Recently I was booking a hotel for later in 2021, and I had a discount code. But the website wouldnt accept the code. And when I called the hotel, they couldnt recognize the code and were going to charge me $50 more per night. Finally, the convention sponsor set up a special link with the hotel, but even that didnt process the discount at first. And when I was at last able to register and pay at the discounted rate, the system wouldnt recognize any good credit card.
