The successful applicants will provide Testing and Launch support of Propulsion Systems and components from preparation of equipment and documentation, testing and recording of data to reporting. This will involve working on multiple projects and often offsite. Thermal Test Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be working on the Mobile Asteroid Surface Scout MASCOT which is a small landing package onboard the Japanese space probe HayabusaII, built by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency JAXA and scheduled to be launched in late 2014. You will have following responsibilities Support thermal test activities within the project Conceptual design of position sensors based on thermal sensors. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline Professional experience in thermal testing, ideally for similar space projects Extensive knowledge of ESATAN, ESARAD and Matlab Good knowledge of thermodynamics Fluency in English is mandatory, German would be an asset.
