TASKS Heshe is responsible for the definition, implementation, acceptance and maintenance of operational simulators. The following main tasks are involved specification of the software requirements of these systems in collaboration with the operational users definition and specification of their internal and external interfaces in agreement with the relevant parties acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements support to the mission operations staff as required in the various operational phases, including System Validation Tests, simulation campaign and in software support coordination as part of the Flight Control Team during critical operational phases such as launches coordination with other internal ESOC or external units, e.g. with the unit supplying mission data systems infrastructure and with the unit supplying the ICT systems and services participation in research and development activities in the area of mission data systems. PROFILE Knowledge required includes knowledge and experience in the ESOC software engineering methodology and standards competence in modern computer languages such as C, C, Java, UML, XML, SQL familiarity with the ESOC software development environments and systems, including DOORS familiarity with relevant operating systems, including LINUX . The working language for the position is English and therefore the keyperson must be able to work effectively in this language. Within the testAIT workshop RFpayloadOptical engineering team, the candidate will participate in preparing and supporting system and functional tests for the payload subsystem for observation satellites. Your main tasks will include analysing the payload design and understanding validation needs defining the test methods and techniques defining the test and test data processing means writing test plans, procedures and reports encoding and validating test sequences following up tests, providing support for test operations interfacing with the payload project team Teamwork in shifts may be required over a 23 day phase to cover critical phases Oncall duty may be required in 3x8hr shifts for certain test phases Travel to the launch site may occasionally be required. AIT Satellite Test Engineer

One of our space clients is looking for an experienced AIT test engineer to work at one of their sites in the Netherlands. The candidate is required to have extensive experience within the field of satellite technology and to have worked across a wide range of disciplines including AIT payload, spacecraft test campaigns, AIT EGSE support, AIT launch campaigns in both test and support. This should include payload test, payload engineering, requirement generation and validation, test development, results analysis, EIDP generation. It would also be helpful if the engineer has covered or supported PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB IRB and NRB reviews. Experience on a range of component level technologies such as RF, Radio, Radar, GSM, Fibre optics and telecoms would be an asset.
