RHEA is currently recruiting an Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Technician to support the Eletromagnetics and Space Environment Division at our clients premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include You will be part of a team to provide antenna support to different activitiesinstruments that are covered by the section such as Reflector antennas. Feed systems including multifrequency and high power capability. Array antennas direct radiating or associated with a reflector. Frequency and polarisation sensitive surfaces. Passive and Active Beam Forming Networks. Fixed and mobile user terminal. Low gain antennas. Submillimetre wave instruments and technologies. Antenna analysis and optimisation with knowledge on antenna and components modelling tools POS, GRASP, HFSS, .... Antenna and payload measurement and test techniques. In addition, You will provide support to all antenna development stages from design, analysis up to measurements for the following areas Research and Development activities in the field of Antennas. A diverse range of tasks will have to be carried out within the above activity domain, encompassing hardware, software and system aspects. Provide antenna technical support to ESA projects. This includes inhouse design and tradeoff studies to support both developments and reviews. Tasks will require the analysis and design of reflector antennas and arrays and the calculation of the interference effects between antennas and the spacecraft structure When in charge of research and development or project support you will handle direct interfaces with the prime activity contractors, participate in progress meetings and reviews, as requested, and provide appropriate feedback on the achieved progress and discussions. Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience You should have at least a Technical Diploma in the relevant field. At least 4 years of working experience in the field of Antenna and SubMilimetre Waves. General background in antenna technologies and experience in antenna testing preferably in the space domain Good working knowledge of Near and Far field antenna measurement chamberssystems. Selfcapability for all aspects of testing and integration of antenna systems. Experience in maintenance and calibration of general RF antenna laboratory test equipment and instrumentation. Good knowledge of Matlab, CAD software and instrument control software for automated testing considered as an asset. Proactive attitude to solving problems. Test Technician

Main duties Provide technical competency in the environmental testing and monitoring of Space hardware using internal and external test facilities. Test in particular, electrical verification, including continuity, voltage, temperature, bonding, isolation, thermal vacuum, magnetic moment, mass, shock and vibration testing. Support in the maintenance of test equipment, internal to our client and associated equipment. All electrical testing is to be carried out to European Space Agency ESA standards and our clients internal quality standards. AD hoc duties as required. Essential Skills and Experience ONCHNC Apprentice trained or equivalent in electricalelectronic engineering or other electrical electronic test discipline. Ability to work well under pressure to demanding timescales. Quality conscious and capable of working within a highly regulated industry. Able to work with mechanical and or electrical engineering drawings. Able to work with test equipment e.g. Oscilloscope, DVM, battery changersdischargers and data loggers. A selfstarter and motivated, ability to multi task. Methodical worker with attention to detail and reliability is essential. Flexible attitude to work including overtime. Values delivering the job professionally, properly and with pride. Very good computer skills including MS office, specifically MS Excel and MS Word with the ability to adapt to other PC specific applications software, such as interfaces for controlling test equipment. Experience with automated systems an advantage but not essential. Personal Demonstrate pride in work. Helpful and able to work as part of a team. Flexible to changing priorities. Must be able to follow industry and company specific procedures. Some flexibility in working hours sometimes needed to suit the business requirements. Motivated and demonstrates good attention to detail.
