Job Profile The Software Product Assurance Engineer will support the Project Managers, the Software Department and the Product Assurance Manager for Software Product Assurance activity. The candidate has also to be able to perform technical tasks such as software analysis, architecture and design, although only as a support task. Tasks to be performed Define the project SW PA baseline necessary to satisfy SW PA requirements Onboard software and Ground software PA requirements, and other projectspecific requirements Ensure that an appropriate system is defined and implemented to obtain and demonstrate compliance to the applicable requirements Manage the reviews of the software products including code and documentation before the release to the customer Generate and maintain inhouse standards for Software Engineering Product Assurance purposes i.e. Software Lifecycle processes, procedures, guidelines and handbooks Support, if needed, the Procurement Engineers for the Product Assurance of the subcontracted software Typical Tasks include Prepare and maintain the Software Product Assurance Plan SPAP Manage the Product Assurance actions list related to software Participate in Projects and Quality progress meetings as necessary Participate in projects risk identification and analysis Support or participate in reviews performed at system level that include software aspects Control software related documents produced by the system engineering team Support to the Software Architect regarding Independent Software Verification and Validation ISVV activities, if any Support the configuration management established at system level and related to software e.g. CCB Provide adequate reporting Provide a Software Product Assurance Report for each system review Maintain a company Software Quality Handbook uptodate Interface with the Project Managers, the Product Assurance Manager and Customer on all subjects related to SW PA Required Skills, Experience and Candidate Profile University degree or equivalent MasterDiploma About 5 years of experience in Software Quality Product Assurance tasks is a must Experience in product assurance of embedded software Understanding of ECSS standards related to software and PA in particular ECSSEST40 and ECSSQST80 Good technical background in programming languages e.g. C, C, Java is highly desirable Comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers Ability to work and interface with a multinational team Methodical workapproach Taking responsibility and being proactive Willingness to travel and to be part of a collocated team for a limited time Good communication capabilities, analytical sense and priority setting abilities Languages Good English language skills spoken and written, German andor French knowledge will be considered an asset Driving license desirable class B EU citizenship or valid Luxembourg work permit mandatory for nationals from nonEUcountries or countries treated as such. Requirements The Key Person should have a Masters in Engineering or equivalent or MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies with at least 4 years of relevant experience and the following skills Experience in human space flight mission operations, with an emphasis on ISS and Columbus operations, e.g. former certified flight controllerops lead or console support person Ability to develop and setup processes in a multi international and industrial team, with a good knowledge of the ISS program and ESA Columbus program and operations processes. One of our space clients in The Netherlands is looking for a Product Assurance engineer. The role would ideally suit a contractor looking for a long term consultancy role within the space industry. Tasks Formulates Product Assurance plans PAplan, based upon existing PAplans, set priorities and will act within projects as the PAcontact person to the customer. Is able to assess and keys external PA requirements with the internal organization PA requirements and processes. Contributes to the emergence and maintenance of work packages, with regard to the activities on the Qarea. Monitors and manages, during project implementation, compliance with PArequirements for design and detailed design. Intervenes at deviations and proposes measures for, escalates at the right level. Is familiar with configuration management. Is able to organize data, documentation, and product changes checked in to report the status. Shall monitor the implementation of existing and additional testing needed in different project phases, both internally and externally and intervenes at abnormalities. Presents reports on checks in all project phases from PA. Can fulfill the role of a project work package manager. Knowledge and experience Knowledge of general production processes. Knowledge of carbon fiber sandwich products and the production processes. Knowledge of function and structure of parts of solar panels, preferably including PVA. Familiarity with Product Assurance documents. Strong in written documentation, accurate. Written and oral communication with externals, in NL and EN. Confident, persuasive, tenacious, organised.
