Software Product Assurance Engineer

For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a Software Product Assurance Engineer for their location in the London UK area. In this role you will be working on the Quantum project. Key Purpose To provide Software PA engineering support to the Quantum project team. To assist with preparation of the Project Software PA plan and to ensure that the project flight software is delivered to the software PA plan and documentation. Support customer facing nonconformance review boards. Support supplier facing reviews if necessary. Key Tasks Support the definition and generation of the project software PA baseline necessary to satisfy software PA requirements Onboard software and Ground software PA requirements, and other projectspecific requirements. Ensure that an appropriate system is defined and implemented to obtain and demonstrate compliance to the applicable requirements. Manage the reviews of the software products including code and documentation before the release to the customer. Oversee the test and verification activities. Support to the Lead Software Design Engineer, with guidance on software design architecture to facilitate test, and Flight Software Verification and Validation activities. Document evidence of customer requirements verification and communicate this to the customer via an appropriate level of reporting. Provide handson assistance with the software test campaign. Support, if needed, the Procurement Engineers for the Product Assurance of the subcontracted software. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Educated to First Degree Level or Equivalent, in a relevant discipline would be desirable. Proven experience in Software Quality Product Assurance for high reliability applications. An understanding of ECSS standards related to software and PA is highly desirable in particular ECSSEST40 and ECSSQST80. Experience in Embedded Software, Spaceaerospace software technical knowledge. Experience of product assurance of Onboard software. Experience of working throughout the Full Product Lifecycle. Comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers. Good communication capabilities, analytical sense and priority setting abilities. At least 3 years of experience in a similar function with knowledge of the telecom industry as well as an appropriate technical background. Job competences Strong analytical capacities thorough analysis of the problem and synthesis of all elements to come to a satisfactory solution for the customer. Well organized maintaining overview coordination being able to distinguish important from less important matters Accurate and resultdriven good knowledge of Linux system administration and data communication protocols, affinity with computer systems capacity to understand complex systems like satellite ground segments and access networks ability to act autonomously on location willing to work abroad, being regularly on duty and doing upgrades during nights and weekends. Being able to work occasionally under stressful conditions e.g. when there is a service outage, and have the creativity to find the solution that will lead to the service restoration. Possess good communicative skills be able to express yourself fluently in English. French is an asset. Professional attitude towards customers keeping an eye on potential customer needs and report them to product management.

One of our space clients in Denmark is looking for a Product Assurance Engineer. The projects the client is working on are power projects for ESA and Non ESA customers. Most of them are either full ECSS or a reduced set of PA requirements. The possible candidate must possess a strong background in ECSS on hardware and possibly in power electronics. This is currently a long term consultancy position and would suit an engineer with at least five years within the space industry. Tasks for this roles Write Product Assurance, contamination, safety and component management plans. Participate and prepare milestone reviews PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, etc. with the customer and ESA. Provide Product Assurance support in the design process with respect to FMECA, WCA, Radiation, PSA etc. Prepare declared lists DPL, DML, DMPL, and DCL and drive the MPCB process. Familiar with ECSS Standards.
