The jobholder of the position Structural Mechanics Analyst will work within the Mechanical Engineering department on the support of these projects and furthermore for the following tasks Tasks and Responsibilities Performance of structural predimensioning and concept definition in close link with the Mechanical Design team Detailed stress analyses of primary and secondary structures as well as of components applying FiniteElementMethod FEM Performance of mechanical interface verifications Verification of mechanical systems and mechanisms. Requirements A university degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or comparable At least 3 years of experience with structuralmechanical engineering, in particular in the fields of lightweight structures and FEM Experience with Pre Postprocessing HYPERWORKS, PATRAN Experience with Linear Nonlinear stress and stability analyses NASTRAN Sound knowledge of NASTRANPATRAN Basic knowledge of Catia V5 Knowledge of Mechanical interface verifications e.g. VDI 2230 Knowledge of Predimensioning FEM and handbook methods First experience in materials selection and properties Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing German language skills are an advantage.
