As part of a nation-wide initiative, UnitedHealthcare, a UnitedHealth Group company, has adopted telehealth technology system to allow patients to share images with their doctors for timely diagnoses. "Sharing patient data and images remotely reduces the wait for real-time results, which can be critically important for patients - especially when it concerns conditions like skin cancer," said Dr. Ron Fujimoto , chief medical officer of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Hawaii.

Parkview reaches agreement with UnitedHealthcare

UnitedHealthcare's Commercial and Medicare Advantage Complete Choice will offer members uninterrupted in-network coverage from UnitedHealthcare at Parkview's hospitals, offices, walk-in clinics. Earlier in October, Parkview began notifying patients that all services will be considered out-of-network if UnitedHealthcare is their insurance provider starting in April of 2015.
