Satellite Simulator Software Engineer

RHEA is currently recruiting a Satellite Simulator Software Engineer to work on the development, test and validation of operational MCS and simulators at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The successful candidate will be responsible for the definition, implementation, acceptance and maintenance of operational simulator and Mission Control Systems. The scope of work will include Specification of systems software requirements in collaboration with the operational users Definition of internal and external interfaces in agreement with the relevant parties Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Support the mission operations staff as required in the various operational phases, including system validation tests, simulation campaign and software support coordination during critical operational phases such as launches Coordination with other internal or external units, e.g. with the Unit supplying mission data systems infrastructure and the Unit supplying the ICT systems and services Participation in research and development activities in the area of mission data systems. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Knowledge of operational simulators and mission control systems, including mission planning, automation, operational database, archiving, data distribution, etc. Experience with ESOC software engineering methodology and standards, as well as ESOC software development environments and systems, including DOORS Strong knowledge of C, C, Java, UML, XML, and SQL Familiarity with relevant operating systems including LINUX. Our client is looking for Mechanical Satellite AIT engineers to work in Holland on their Satellite Program. Your Tasks Island lead of a team of two engineers. Island planning, organization and control. Mechanical assembly and integration of satellite structural parts and subsystems. Requirements engineering. Test case definition. Test specification and procedure generation as well as test report generation. Delegated Quality Assurance tasks like e.g., Key Inspection Points, standard inspections, mating logs, asruns, procedure variations, NonConformance Reports, Problem Reports. Your Qualifications A degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace technology, physics or comparable qualification. At least four years of experience in the satellite AIT or test field. Knowledge of ECSS Standards for Mechanical Engineering. Experience in working with mechanical tool kits and MGSE. Experience in mechanical assembly of satellite structures, including propulsion systems and RF would be desirable. High motivation and commitment to the project. Used to tough project targets and challenges. Welldeveloped communication skills and hands onmentality. Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and able to work under time pressure. Fluency in spoken and written English.

AIT Satellite Test Engineer

One of our space clients is looking for an experienced AIT test engineer to work at one of their sites in the Netherlands. The candidate is required to have extensive experience within the field of satellite technology and to have worked across a wide range of disciplines including AIT payload, spacecraft test campaigns, AIT EGSE support, AIT launch campaigns in both test and support. This should include payload test, payload engineering, requirement generation and validation, test development, results analysis, EIDP generation. It would also be helpful if the engineer has covered or supported PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB IRB and NRB reviews. Experience on a range of component level technologies such as RF, Radio, Radar, GSM, Fibre optics and telecoms would be an asset.
