Florida power company buying into N.C. solar

Florida-based NextEra Energy is looking to get into the solar power business in North Carolina with its proposed purchase of the five solar farms, totaling 22 megawatts of capacity, developed by Holocene Clean Energy of Raleigh. Holocene bought development rights for the projects from other solar companies in 2014.

Nevada regulators vote to keep existing rooftop solar rates

Nevada regulators decided Wednesday to keep existing rates in place for rooftop solar customers for a few more months even though the state hit a cap on how much energy can be sold back to a utility company. The Public Utilities Commission voted to maintain current rates and rules before permanent ones must be adopted by the end of the year.
