Yale Environment 360: Solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing has been growing at a slower rate in recent years, increasing by only 4 percent annually from 2011 to 2013, compared to an average annual growth of 78 percent from 2006 to 2011, says a U.S. Energy Information Administration analysis. Globally, solar PV production facilities are producing far fewer solar panels than their maximum capacity allows, the report says.
