Location ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands Description The postholder will report to the Head of Configuration and Data Management Unit and hisher duties will entail the definition and execution of Configuration and Data Management activities related to the Directorates Programmes in coordination with the other functions of the Office, with the Navigation PA Safety Office, the Navigation Security Office and the Programme Departments. Duties support to the implementation and maintenance of Configuration and Data Management Plans for Navigationss programmes compliant with the Agency applicable standards and guideline and consistent with equivalent plans established in the industrial counterparts maintenance of segment, project and programme level configuration and documentation baselines controlling documentation flow with the support of Documentalists implementation of detailed procedures, databases and tools for the establishment and maintenance of the project and programme baselines organisation and running of configuration management boards, change control boards and any other internal coordination meetings as required participation to CCBs and Configuration Management events conducted by the GSA or EC if required monitor and control of industry plans and standards and their implementation in the domain of documentation and configuration management participation in the follow up of the industrial activities by review progress reports and participation to progress meetings as required organisation and performance of CADM audits and configuration inspections at industrial and operational sites contribution to the preparation of tender documents, to evaluation of proposals and negotiations generation of inputs for the preparation of management reports covering aspect concerned with configuration management Technical competencies Technical domains and in particular space systems development Knowledge of innovationrelated processes Data configuration management standards and methods Modern automated CADM tools and office automation software Behavioural competencies Continuous Learning Customer Focus Self Motivation Teamwork Additional requirements Practical experience with Configuration Managment standards and methods, such as CMII, CMPIC, CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS are required. Several years experience in configuration management. Applicants must be eligible for security clearance by their national security administration. Communication Ability to synthesize complex matters This post requires frequent travelling. Education Applicants for this post should have an Engineering degree Master level or equivalent qualification in a related discipline. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset. The Agency may require applicants to undergo selection tests.
