EUMETSAT is now embarking on new and challenging satellite development programmes, shaping its longterm future. EPSSG Data Processing Systems Procurement Manager REF. VN1412 In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of activities relating to Payload Data Processing Systems for Low Earth Orbit missions during development within the Ground Segment. During the EPSSG Ground Segment GS development phase, you will manage the engineering definition of the Payload Data Processing component, industrial activities associated with the procurement and development of the component and all the related activities leading to the integration, verification and validation. Following handover to operations, you will be involved in postdelivery support activities in particular during the operational validation of the EPSSG Ground Segment and later on during the satellites and overall system commissioning activities. To join us, you will require a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, plus practical experience of meteorological, earth observation or remote sensing nearrealtime, highly available, instrumentrelated data processing systems. In particular, you should be skilled in specifying, designing, implementing, integrating and testing Payload Data Processing Systems, leading teams, and adhering to ISO, CCSDS and ECSS standards. Finally, awareness of meteorological data formats such as NetCdf, HDF and BUFR plus compression algorithms would be a major advantage, and you should combine excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills with fluency in English and a knowledge of French.
